Read-a-Thon Participation
The students seemed to enjoy the Read-a-Thon Grand Prize Drawing Assembly!
We discovered that 70% of the students turned in black out bingo cards after counting them all! The student's black out bingo cards counted as an entry into the raffle prize drawings!
3rd grade turned in 106 black out bingo cards!
4th grade turned in 121 black out bingo cards!
5th grade turned in 125 black out bingo cards!
358 total black out bingo cards put in the box and counted!
Boosters drew 3 huge grand prize baskets for each of the grades!
There were also 3 extra grand grand prize baskets, that ALL grades were entered in to be drawn for. One STEM basket, one with an overnight stay at Great Wolf Lodge Grand Mound for a family of 4, and one with a $399 gift card to Great Wolf Lodge!

A little about the inaugural Bingo Read-A-Thon in Spring of 2024
It was so much fun! To kick of the event, each student received a forever book, The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. It took place over two week's time, and bingo card reading activities were completed by students at school and at home. Individual prizes were collected by students in their classrooms as they completed a row of reading activities on their bingo cards. Blackout bingo cards were collected for grand prizes that were drawn at the end of week assembly to conclude the Bingo Read-A-Thon. The hope is that this sparks and nurtures a love of reading for each students. This it encourages them to develop the literary skills for a lifetime of curiosity and learning.

Each September we co-sponsor the Back to School Bash, put on by the R.I.S.E. Center Liason of the Rochester School District. It's always a fun community event, and brings the students and families together to help kick off the new school year.
In 2024, the GMES popcorn cart & Mr. Twister as Mario were hits!
Alex Zerbe's Zaniac Comedy Show also proved a giggly delight for the audience!
