Read-a-Thon Assembly -

GRAND PRIZE DRAWINGS, GAME SHOW QUIZ & MAD LIBS

The students seemed to enjoy the Read-a-Thon Grand Prize Drawing Assembly!

We discovered that 70% of the students turned in black out bingo cards after counting them all!  The student's black out bingo cards counted as an entry into the raffle prize drawings!

3rd grade turned in 106 black out bingo cards!

4th grade turned in 121 black out bingo cards!

5th grade turned in 125 black out bingo cards!

358 total black out bingo cards put in the box and counted!

Boosters drew 3 huge grand prize baskets for each of the grades!

There were also 3 extra grand grand prize baskets, that ALL grades were entered in to be drawn for. One STEM basket, one with an overnight stay at Great Wolf Lodge Grand Mound for a family of 4, and one with a $399 gift card to Great Wolf Lodge!

We appreciate our wonderful sponsors!

Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund, for making it possible to every student their own Wild Robot Escapes books to take home!

Great Wolf Lodge - Grand Mound, for making it possible to have two amazing huge grand grand prizes drawn at the Read-a-Thon assembly.

The Grand Mound Boosters mission is to enrich each student's quest for lifelong literacy and learning at Grand Mound Elementary School (GMES), as well as support existing opportunities presented at school.

We are a nonprofit corporation with elected executive officers and a strong parent volunteer base that collaborate with GMES administration and staff to get forever books in all the students’ hands throughout the year in several different ways.  We strive to champion the love of reading by providing students with new, relevant, student-requested, teacher recommended and classic books for all GMES students.

Grand Mound Boosters makes contributions in many other ways as well; school wide special assemblies, the annual school wide BINGO read-a-thon, the book vending machine and the thousands of titles in English and Spanish stocked in it for each student's personal library, new GMES folders for every student each year, contributions of raffle prizes and volunteer hours at school family nights, t-shirts for all students, mini grants to teachers, and much more.

PLEASE CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING.  Grand Mound Boosters is solely volunteer run, and we make the difference together for our students.

GMES Boosters meets online the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6-7pm via Zoom (meeting link, ID and pass code above).

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
